Dear Risen Christ Family,
Now that we've celebrated our first joint worship service, we are eager to hear back from you on how things went. You can find the follow-up survey at the bottom of the page. We're already making a couple adjustments. Listed here:
1. Apostle's Creed will be confessed 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month.
2. The distribution blessing will be done after everyone has received the bread and wine at communion. As such, when you have received the sacrament we invite you to return to your seats instead of waiting for the dismissal. The dismissal will take place at the end of communion distribution.
3. We will be trying some new things regarding our fourth song. Keep an eye out as we seek to build a flow to our worship life.
Please keep in mind that our first Sunday was slightly more lengthy due to a need of introducing new aspects of worship to the congregation. As we become more used to the flow of worship, the service itself will also begin to flow more smoothly from Sunday to Sunday.
As Hebrews 10:23-25 reminds us: Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
